Akeredolu approves low key Events for Second Term Inauguration

The Ondo state Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has approved low key activities for his second term inauguration and that of his Deputy governor-elect, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

SUNSHINETRUTH reports that the step is as a result of the ravaging second wave of Coronavirus pandemic across the world.

Activities lined up for the second term inauguration of governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and the deputy governor elect, Lucky Ayedatiwa kick off on Tuesday at the Dome with a lecture by the president of Africa development Bank, Dr Akinwumi Adesina

Briefing newsmen at the governor’s office in Akure, Mr Ayedatiwa who is also the chairman, inauguration committee said the swearing-in ceremony would take place on Wednesday alongside the inaugural dinner at same venue

Commissioning of projects and schools debate are slated for Thursday, Jumat service on Friday and Inaugural feast across the Eighteen local governments on Saturday

Deputy governor Ayedatiwa who announced that everyday event was strictly by invitation adding that the six day-event would come to a close with thanksgiving at the Saint Andrew’s Anglican Cathedral, Owo.

The twenty five man inauguration committee had the former commissioner of information and orientation, Donald Ojogo as the chairman, media subcommittee.
