WTO DG: Ondo First Lady shows Okonjo-Iweala love, dons her Head Tie

The First Lady of Ondo state, Mrs Betty Anyanwu-

Akeredolu has shown love and solidarity with the first female Director General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Dr (Mrs) Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, by changing her Head tie style to that of the former Nigeria’s finance minister.

Her Excellency, Arabinrin Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu in a media chat today with press men including SUNSHINETRUTH crew held in her office in Akure, said Okonjo-Iweala had done her family, Igbo nation, Nigeria and Africa proud by becoming the first black woman to attain such global position.

Talking about the achievements of her husband’s administration, her impactful initiatives in the last 4 years and her plan for women and youths of Ondo state while donning Ngozi Okonjo Iweala signature head tie to celebrate the first woman and the first African to be elected as Director-General of World Trade Organisation, Mrs Akeredolu promised to continue gender equality advocacy.

Mrs Akeredolu who is popularly known as “DIGITAL MAMA”, advised parents to give their female children best education and always support womenfolk to achieve and display their potentials unhindered.

The Ondo state First Lady noted that she had initiated some programmes in the state in the last four years to empower women, widows and girl child to attain their full potentials.
