The suspect said: “I live in Ijare (in Ifedore local Govt area), I had a fiancé who left me for another man few days to our wedding. I became broke and frustrated and that was why I got involved in armed robbery which became lucrative for me.

“Whenever there is a party, I pretend to be one of the organisers. I have a special wine opener which I use to open wines only for rich people in the party. With that, I get my victims.

“I have been involved to this act for a long time since I lost everything and my landlord chased me out of his house, and any fiancé said I was not good for him anymore.” he added.

“Whenever I want to rape any woman, I always make sure I operate at night and the woman will fall for me after using charms on them. I make sure I cover the women faces while in the act.

Another suspect arrested, Alade Titobi, a 28-year-old bricklayer, was caught stealing building materials of houses where he worked.

In his confessional statement, Titobi said he usually went home with people’s building materials that were meant to build the house.
