Nigeria needs spiritual intervention —Deji of Akure, hosts UACC President

The Deji and Paramount Ruler of Akure Kingdom, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi have called on Nigerians to seek God’s intervention as a way to get out of the myriads of problems facing the nation at the moment.

The Monarch stated this while receiving the new President of the United Apostolic Church of Christ Worldwide, Reverend (Dr) James Bayo Owoyemi at his palace.

The Monarch lamented that it is obvious that the current situation in the country seems to have defiled all known solutions at the moment.

“As you can see, we are battling with insecurity across the nation ranging from Boko Haram to banditry, bombing, kidnapping among others which had become the order of the day”, the Monarch Said.

He therefore called on spiritual Leaders in Nigeria to rise to the occasion of interceding on behalf of the people for God’s divine intervention.

In his own speech, the new president of the church, Rev. (Dr) Bayo Owoyemi who was on a familiarization visit to the UACC churches in Ondo State described year 2020 as a year that shook the nations of the world to their foundation.

The cleric said that as terrible as the year 2020 was, he is optimistic that year 2021 will be a better year for those who knows their God and those are ready to dwell under his shadows.

Rev. Owoyemi however, led his team in prayers for the Monarch, Akure Land and the nation at large.

He also called for support and prayers for the church of God in order to overcome our troubles.

He said the time has come for all Nigerians and nations of the world to come to the reality that God rules in the affairs of men.

The President of the UACC was accompanied by his wife, Deaconess Mary Owoyemi, and other members of the church council.
