Ondo 2020: Why Akeredolu’s reelection is expedient —Ethnic Youth Leaders

BEING THE PRESS RELEASE ISSUED AT THE SECOND ETHNIC YOUTH GROUPS NEC MEETING IN ABUJA: COALITION OF ETHNIC NATIONALITY YOUTH LEADERS OF NIGERIA (CENYLON)

ETHNIC YOUTH GROUPS IN NIGERIA SET TO HONOUR AND CELEBRATE ONDO STATE GOVERNOR

Yesterday, the ethnic Youth leaders from various ethnic groups in Nigeria reviewed the role of youth in the forthcoming elections in Ondo and Edo.

The youth leaders having accessed the proximity of elections and a need to stand resolute with a candidate of immense contributions to humanity, picked the outstanding Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN.

This conclusion was reached after several debates and review of the activities of the administration which spans across, Security of lives and properties, ease of doing business, infrastructural development, youth empowerment, agricultural development, economy revitalization, health, education and sports development amongst others.

President General, Coalition of Ethnic Nationality Youth leaders of Nigeria, Comrade Eric Oluwole. During the second NEC meeting, appreciated the coalition for unanimously finding it necessary to support the inspiring achievements of the governor of Ondo State, which doubles as his State of origin.

While equally appreciating the youths for choosing to vote and not causing electoral violence. Stating he is a beneficiary of the diverse developmental projects of the current administration.

Ranging from road construction in the urban areas like Akure, Oda road, Alagbaka to Oke-Alabojuto in Ikare Akoko. Which for decades, the once steep hill road had claimed many lives & properties through auto-crashes. Today, Arakunrin has leveled the road to construct a dual carriage way.

The achievements are endless, including the reduction in tuition fee and the directives for installmental payment to ensure ease of payment.

Speaking further the President General said Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN is a man of integrity and is ready to take Ondo State to the higher level of progress in Africa and the entire world

While addressing those opposed to the development brought to Ondo State under the current administration started it is all but pure politics. It is evident that individual candidates are not campaigning because it obviously would amount to waste of resources on their part.

The body language of the people of Ondo State is “Akeredolu ride on” with your developmental projects and progressiveness.

Those that are opposed to Arakunrin should state facts contrary to the giant strides instead of their selfish rantings for personal aggrandizement and political party leanings. We are apolitical because giant STRIDES and developmental projects are the basis for our support and rejection of any political candidate. And as the tides stands in Ondo State Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN merits such support and endorsement.

In the overall interest of Ondo State we are rallying and calling on all our ethnic nationalities body in the state to begin working and mobilizing for the reelection of Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN.

In line with this unanimous decision to endorse and support Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, CENYLON is set to honor and celebrate the ondo state Governor.

Gentleman of the press, this is the second NEC meeting where the resolution was made, and we are set to honor the Ondo State Governor, as the “PERFORMING GOVERNOR OF THE YEAR”.
