He said Pastor Akinbiyi had prophesized to him years back that he would be made king of his town and same manifested in 2014.
Oba Olumoyegun however said when he sought the spiritual intervention of the Pastor, he told him to go back to the hospital for another test immediately and on getting to FMC, it was miraculously discovered that he was no longer positive to the disease.
“It was actually a miracle, because I have all symptoms of coronavirus, it was so terrible but I have good wife who encouraged me that I should go to Pastor Akinbiyi.
“I have done several tests, when I now got to Pastor Akinbiyi, he said nothing is wrong with me, but I told him I am terribly sick with symptoms of coronavirus, Baba (Pastor) said you have no coronavirus.
“I am diabetic, I have hypertension, am very very close to 70year-old, and I know whoever has the disease with all these signs, can’t survive it. I now told my wife that I may not survive this thing, I told her, take of your children.
“The first day I got to (FMC) Owo, the State Commissioner for health (Wahaab Adegbenro) died, after test, for several days, I didn’t hear from the hospital but when they called, they said you have tested positive; I was so depressed.
“I came to Baba (Pastor), he still insisted ‘you don’t have coronavirus’, I told him the test has confirmed it o, he said you don’t have coronavirus please, go back there.
“I went there and they did the test again and after five days, I was at Ori-oke (behind the church) and Baba prayed for me, I was going to Ikale (his area) when they called me that I was so lucky that I didn’t have coronavirus again.
“That is why I came today to thank God and thank Baba. I came to this church today for Thanksgiving because of how God used Pastor (Gbenga) Akinbiyi to save my life,” Oba Festus Olumoyegun said.
In another testimony, a middle aged housewife, Mrs Nifemi Adepoyigi said she was first diagnosed for chronic asthma in 2014, but later tested positive for HIV/AIDS, adding that she lost hope of surviving despite being placed on drugs.
Nifemi said she met God last year when she came to the church.
“When I was tested to have contracted HIV/AIDS at government’s hospital in Akure here, I also went to FMC, Owo for another test and the test was the same result. I came to this church and met Baba Akinbiyi and he asked me to believe in God’s power of healing.
“I was told that the disease was an attack from evil people. In my dream I got a tea from Baba Akinbiyi and I drank it and I went for tests thereafter, the tests showed negative.”
She opined that, “I stopped using the drugs they gave me at the hospital, I started praying in this church orioke and when I went for several tests, they said I am no longer HIV/AIDS positive. I am here today to give thanks to God for using our Baba Akinbiyi to deliver and heal me of this.”
Nifemi who came to the church with her husband, Mr Oluwanbe, said “I want to thank my husband who stood by me during the trying period.”
Also giving his testimony, Mr and Mrs
Akinwumi Afolabi who their 13years of marriage had not produced child due to barrenness, said someone asked them to come to Pastor Akinbiyi to seek spiritual solution after trying several medical remedies to no avail.
About twenty other worshippers of the church alongside their family members including a woman who labouring for 17hours before giving birth, came to the church’s altar to appreciate God for His mercy and empowering the clergyman, Pastor Gbenga Akinbiyi spiritually to deliver them from various life and evil challenges.
Preaching during the Babalola Olomiye programme which usually holds on the first Sunday of the month, Pastor Gbenga Akinbiyi admonished christians to stay with God and Lord Jesus Christ in delivering them from their predicaments.
Pastor Akinbiyi said he would continue to testify to the power of God, however warned church members against worshiping idols.
