The Governorship Candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), in the October 10, 2020 Ondo State gubernatorial election, Prince Dapo Adelegan has congratulated the Muslim Ummah in the the state and Diaspora on the occasion of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
Prince Adelegan, whose congratulatory message was contained in a statement issued by him, advised Muslims to be moderate in their celebrations, while imbibing the spirit of love, obedience to God and sacrifice bequeathed to the world by Prophet Abraham (AS).
TheADC governorship Hopeful opined that, ‘’Eid-el-Kabir is a Festival of Sacrifice and there is no better time for us to sacrifice than now, as we continue to win the war against the Covid -19 pandemic.
‘’Indeed, we must celebrate, especially since we are alive but we should continue to pray for peace globally and also emulate Prophet Ibrahim, who was love and selflessness personified.
Adelegan said, “I rejoice with the Muslim Ummah in Ondo State and Diaspora on the opportunity given to us by Allah SWT to witness and celebrate the 2020 Eid-el-Kabir and I pray that we are alive to celebrate in years to come.’’
