A leading Aspirant in the Young Progressives Party (YPP) for Ondo 2020 Governorship Election, Don Dotun Ojon has declared that his party will be the biggest beneficiary of the internal wranglings in the APC and the PDP, as aggrieved members of the other political parties will soon join YPP before the poll.
Don Dotun Ojon disclosed this while featuring on Arise TV Live programme on Saturday.
The Media Practitioner and Leadership Coach said the political events within the next one month in Ondo state will see many aggrieved members of other political parties making in route into the YPP.
He insisted that the party remains the only platform with a credible, believable and relatable candidate who has a broader appeal to all strata of people in the state.
Ojon said he recently held meeting with stakeholders in OkikiPupa Local Government as part of efforts to build synergy, promote the LEAP agenda and mobilize support towards ensuring the party’s success at the forthcoming gubernatorial poll.
”The COVID-19 pandemic has solved the problem of crowd convergence which is a major strategy deployed by politicians to manipulate voters and sway elections.
”Ondo state as it is today, suffers greatly from leadership deficit, one evident in the internal rancour within the rank and file of major political parties. Everyone across the upper, middle and lower class in Ondo state have passed a vote of no confidence in the present administration hence the persistent desire for a new leap which the YPP is ready to offer.” The Former Students Union Leader added.
Speaking for on LEAP agenda, Ojon said the people of Ondo state have bought into it as the best and most reliable option for the state to make headway out of the present political quagmire as well as forge ahead on the path to all-round progress, prosperity, and infrastructural development.
The former TVC Presenter said the state has been burdened with poor leadership, a development which has crippled the state and constituted a vacuum, saying he possesses outstanding leadership qualifies to lead Ondo to path of greatness.
