Ahead of the October 10, 2020 governorship election in Ondo state, one of the leading Aspirants under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State, Prof. Dayo Faduyile, has promised to restore the lost glory of Ondo state in various sectors especially in turning the state to am industrial hub in Africa, if elected.
Prof. Faduyile, stated this while addressing the ward and local government leaders of the party in Akure South Local Government, the state capital held recently on June 8th, 2020.
He also visited other local government areas in Ondo central senatorial district including Ifedore, Idanre, Akure north, Ondo East and Ondo west.
Prof. Faduyile told the party’s faithful that his decision to contest the governorship seat under the platform of APC was to make Ondo state the best administered state in the country in which all its citizens would be proud.
Faduyile, a former National President of Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), also vowed to ensure qualitative healthcare and affordable elementary and tertiary education on the state.
He also expressed his dissatisfaction over the mismanagement of the state by the Akeredolu-led administration.
He lamented the disunity among leaders of Ondo State APC for the past four years.
“You would recall that today’s leaders’ visitation marked second phase of my Flagg off across the 18 Local government areas of the state. Therefore, I have qualified myself well for the calling.
“For me, I know how Ondo State can be turned to industrial hub, how to increasing the agricultural volume by empowering the farmers and market women and also provide Free Education for Primary and Secondary school students. I will also give Free Health Care to children from age 0 to 12 years and 65 years above,” Prof. Faduyile said
While reacting to the APC leaders’ questions, the former NMA President, assured them of oiling the campaign and that they should keep faith with him and continually praying for him to clinch the ticket of theparty and that the victory is sure for him ahead of the APC gubernatorial primary scheduled to hold on July 20, 2020.
