History remembers The Deji of Akureland, Oba Aladetoyinbo

On This Day In 2015, Kingmakers elect new Deji of Akure.

The then Prince Patrick Kole Aladetoyinbo from Odundun dynasty of Osupa Ruling House was selected by the kingmakers.

The monarch later adopted and preferred to be addressed as “Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi (Odundun II)”.

An architect by profession, Oba Aladetoyinbo replaced late Oba Adebiyi Adesida who joined his ancestors in 2014.

Oba Aladetoyinbo was later the following day presented Staff of Office and instrument of appointment by Governor Olusegun Mimiko.
