A legal Practitioner, Barrister Olujimi Oluseye has vowed that if elected as the State Secretary of the PDP, he will retool the state secretariat of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo state to reposition the major opposition party to reclaim power in the state.
Olujimi is seeking the votes of party faithful during the state congress slated for the party’s secretariat at Alagbaka Akure.
The party’s congress was earlier suspended due to COVID-19 ravaging the world.
The Vibrant lawyer during an interview with SUNSHINETRUTH in Akure, said it was high time competent young people take over the affairs of the party for more rewarding outings during elections.
Olujimi who commended the founding fathers and elders of the party, pleaded with PDP leaders and members to support his candidacy for the position of the state Secretary.
“The Pen they said is mightier than the sword! and i believe the time is now.
“The party need an energetic, workaholic and a grass-root mobilizer who can take our party to the next level through proper documentation.”
The Igbara-oke in Ifedore Local government area-born lawyer, said he had never been to any other political party except PDP since he began partisan politics over twelve years ago.
He said, “It gladdens my heart when I see youths who are battle ready to take over the mantle of Leadership with the support of Political elders.
“This gives our youth a chance to take over from our fathers who have been politics for decades; we need young people who will not hide under political history for their selfish gains.
“As the Chief Administrative Officer of the party, I will ensure an adequate supervision of the day-to-day activities of the party while i conduct the correspondences of the party and cause to be issued notices of meetings as at when due and necessary.
“It can be noted that all records of the Party are safe under my guide. To crown it all, adequate consultation of the State Chairman and other executive officers of our great party, this will be done from time to time in the discharge of my duties when elected.
“With vibrant and viable secretariat, our party will be focused enough to win future elections in Ondo state state especially the forthcoming governorship election slated for October 10, 2020,” Olujimi opined.
