ONDO: Sowore’s AAC protests INEC Delisting of 74 parties

The Africa Action Congress (AAC) has protested against the deregistration of 74 political parties by INEC and the purported endorsement of same by one Leonard Nzenwa who has been expelled from AAC since July 2019.

In a Press Statement signed by Alex Adeniyi, Ondo State Chairman of the Party, pointed that the African Action Congress (AAC) in part believes that the basis of the deregistration exercise is unjust and unacceptable.

A popular publisher of SAHARAREPORTERS, Omoyele Sowore was the Presidential Candidate of the AAC in the 2019 general election.

Adeniyi noted that the two political parties namely the APC and the PDP that pride themselves as leading have done much to subvert democracy in Nigeria through acts like vote buying, electoral violence, disenfranchisement, using underage voters, destabilizing potential opposition parties through sponsored agents and agencies like the Judiciary.

He also claimed that the recent INEC’s deregistration of 74 political parties as part of steps to suppress growing opposition parties.

“The AAC party led by Omoyele Sowore therefore solidarize with ideological, like minded and radical parties affected with the exercise.

“We wish you to note that the task of building the nation’s democracy to an enviable dream, remain a collective duty,” said Alex Adeniyi.
