Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has resumed from his annual vacation on the fourth of this month.
This is contrary to insinuation by a legal practitioner, Tolu Babaleye that claimed the governor is still on leave and he could not sack his Special Assistant on Political matters, Austin Pelemo on October 7, 2019.
This circular exclusively obtained by SUNSHINETRUTH indicates that the governor has resumed duties since Friday last week.
With the circular above, Babaleye is believed to have goofed by issuing a statement below:
WHO SACKED AUSTINE PELEMO AS SPECIAL ASSISTANT POLITICAL TO THE GOV OF ONDO?
The Statement sacking Austine Pelemo this morning carried the name of the Governor of Ondo State as the one that relieved him of his office as the Special Assistant on Political Matters. I wish to state that Aketi cannot sack anyone or use the power of a Governor at the moment since he has donated that power to his Deputy who is now the Acting Governor of Ondo State when he was going on working leave and outside the shores of Nigeria.
Until Aketi returns and resumes and write another letter to Ondo State House of Assembly to take back his power as the Governor, he can not perform the functions of that office.
The above is the spirit and intent of Section 190 of 1999 Constitution as amended.
A press Statement from the office of the Commissioner of Information about the sack of Austine Pelemo and the purported sack is a ruse and illegality as it does not emanate from the office of constituted authority which is the Acting Governor of Ondo State, Barr. Alfred Agboola Ajayi.
God bless Ondo State!
