All Progressives Congress, APC, Ondo State chapter has called for the removal of Ambiguous aspects of the electoral laws ahead of future elections.
The ruling party also rejoiced with President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, over the validation of his mandate by the Election Tribunal in Abuja.
In a Statement signed by the party’s Spokesman, Alex Kalejaye, Ondo APC said, “to us, this is a well deserved victory, considering the subterfuge and unusual politicking that trail the election.”
“The State Chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, also celebrates the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, the National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, and all other leaders of the APC on the hard-earned judicial victory.”
The party boss commended the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and its flagbearer, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, for their determination to ensure that only democratic processes were explored.
The State Chairman considers it imperative to acknowledge the painstaking efforts of the judiciary to ensure that justice was served, saying: “The efforts of the judiciary is indescribable”.
Adetimehin hails the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, but urges the commission to look into some electoral laws that clamour for amendment, to erase any ambiguity, especially in its newly included operations.
