As part of the essence of establishing an haven of recreation and social growth known as Club Elan, Alagbaka, AKURE in Ondo State, members of other social and recreation clubs from within and outside the state will converge on the Club’s premises as from today to take part in the 1st Club Elan/SOWSCO Table Tennis tournament.

The tourney is scheduled to take place from Tuesday today, 27th August 2019 to Sunday, 1st of September, 2019.

Club Elan, in collaboration with SOWSCO Wells Services Nig LTD decided to organise the competition as part of social and corporate responsibilities which are consciously made to enlighten and encourage people on physical activities, sporting involvement and investment in human health to prevent ailments and reduce avoidable health challenges due to sedentary lifestyle.

The tournament is also targeted at fostering intra and inter social clubs human relationship which is a key element in achieving career and organization successes.

The President of the Club, Elano Agbetuyi Tokunbo while speaking on the tournament, appreciated the gesture of the collaborating sponsor for thoughtful investment to humanity.

Elano Agbetuyi admonished members of the Club and other invited Club members to maximize the opportunity to build social bonds aimed at improving human capacity and development of the society.

Also Speaking on the event, the Director of Sports of the club, Elano (Prince) Adedire Adeyinka emphasized the need to be physically active as one ages.

Elano Adedire, who is also a medical expert, reiterated that the natural ageing process of the body is inevitable as one grows older,but advised that the process can be delayed by physical activity and by priotising sports activities in recreation.

He added that opportunistic ailments in association with ageing can be deterred with regular and monitored/regulated physical activities.
