…..calls for youth involvement in governance in Progressives states.
By: Oluwatosin Adesola
The All Progressives Congress Youth League, APCYL has called on the National Working Committee, NWC to review the activities of some state chapters of the party.
The League Founder and President, Comrade Atir Faeren made the call in a statement made available to Newsmen in Akure, the Ondo state capital.
Comrade Faeren in the statement noted that the review became imperative in order to instill discipline and order at the state levels.
He lamented the rate of anti party activities in some states that reflected in the outcome of the 2019 general elections.
The APCYL President maintained that the party should engage the founding fathers of the party at resolving issues affecting the party and those found wanting should be sanctioned appropriately.
The group also called on governors on the platform of the APC to ensure that the youth are adequately taken care of and carried along in the scheme of things in the interest of National development.
The group particularly called on Ondo state Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu to create a platform for proper integration and empowerment of youths in his administration and motivate party members through what they tagged “Party Reward System, PRS”.
They urged President Muhammadu Buhari to tackle the menace of kidnapping, banditry and insecurity across the country and also improve on the anti corruption fight.
Comrade Faeren expressed the plan of the group to come up with a comprehensive policy document in line with President Buhari’s Next Level Agenda to support the administration.
