NUJ, OPMAN Congratulate Journalists Appointed by Fayemi

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), zone B (South west) has described the appointments of the former chairman of the union in Oyo and Ekiti States, Messrs Wale Ojo-Lanre and Tai Oguntayo respectively as worthy development which will further brace journalism profession in the South West geo political zone.

The union noted that the two professionals who had served as Chairmen of their councils at different times have the potentials to develop the government of their state through the media.

In a congratulatory message issued by Comrade Cosmas Olalekan Oni, the vice president and Bamigbola Gbolagunte, the secretary of the union in the zone, which comprises the six states of the South West region, the union called on the two appointees to live up to expectations in their new offices.

The statement reads “the appointment of both Wale Ojo-Lanre and Akogun Tai Oguntayo could not have come at a better time than this. They are thorough bread professionals who will always deliver in any assignment given to them.

“The appointments have shown that the Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi has penchant for quality and will do everything at ensuring that only the best functions in his cabinet. This is a good development which other Governors, especially those of the South West states should emulate for efficient delivery and good governance.

“We, as a union, have no doubt in the ability of the new appointees to deliver beyond the expectation of their principal. This is because of their track records which we are sure will continue to speak for them.

“As chairman of their various councils, the two appointees did their best for the union and their achievements were second to none. We therefore have no doubt that they will bring their leadership and professional acumen to bear in their new appointments and move the government of Governor Fayemi to the next level that the Governor desires,” the statement added.

The Ondo state chapter of Online Media Practitioners Association Of Nigeria, OMPAN congratulates Mr Wale Ojo Lanre on his appointment as the Director General of Arts Culture and Tourism Ekiti State, by Dr Kayode Fayemi.

The ondo state body of the Association praised Dr. Fayemi for putting the right peg in the right hole.

We are convinced that, Wale Ojo Lanre will make a better turn around in the affairs of Tourism in Ekiti state.

More so, we equally appreciate Dr. Fayemi for believing and making journalists in the state part of his cabinet which we believe will make the state a place of pride amongst committee of states in Nigeria and beyond.

The Oyo State Chapter of Online Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria has congratulated Mr Wale Ojo Lanre on his appointment as the Director General, Council of Arts and Culture by the Ekiti state Governmenor, Dr Kayode Fayemi

The Association also commended the governor for considering more journalists including Mr Samuel Oluwalana of Daily Independent and others for appointment into his cabinet.

According to a press statement jointly signed by the association’s Chairman, Remi Oladoye and Public Relations Officer, Dare Adeniran,they described Ojo Lanre’s appointment as putting a round peg in a round hole,

“Wale Ojo Lanre is a journalist with special interest in the promotion of culture and tourism, a task that has taken him to many countries of the world”

While expressing optimism in Ojo Lanre’s ability to influence a positive turnaround in the culture and tourism sector in the state, OMPAN also urged Ojo Lanre to maintain the diligence, and outstanding display of love for the culture and tourism sector that have been his hallmark over the years.

The association also urged the newly appointed Director-General to take creative decisions that will move the Council forward and ensure that Ekiti retains its place of pride as far as arts and culture are concerned.
