A Business Mogul, Chief (Mrs.) Ruth Olowookere has declared that she remains the authentic and legally recognised Iyaloja-General of Ondo state contrary to a claim by one Mrs. Iwalola Akinfemiwa who is purportedly parading herself as the head of market women in the state.
Mrs. Olowookere, popularly known as “Madam Do-Good”, had dragged Mrs. Akinfemiwa to the State High Court over the title of Iyaloja-General of Ondo state and who is the National President of the National Traders And Market Leaders Council of Nigeria, which is also known as Association of Traders and Market Leaders of Nigeria.

A Press Statement signed by Mr. Femi Emmanuel Emodamori, the lawyer to Mrs. Adefemiwa and other defendants on Tuesday revealed that they dumped the Association led by Mrs. Olowookere and registered the Association of Iyaloja and Iyalaje of Nigeria with the Federal Government’s Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).

Mrs. Akinfemiwa also adopted the Iyaloja-General title as the leader of newly registered Association.
The statement reads that “Our clients state that Chief (Mrs.) Iwalola Akinfemiwa is the bona fide Iyaloja-General and leader of their Association in Ondo State.”
However reacting to the wrong claim by Akinfemiwa, Madam Do-Good said in a Press Statement that, “the court in February last year ruled in favour of Mrs Olowookere as the legally installed Iyaloja-General of Ondo state and National President of the association.
“According to the verdict delivered by Justice Olabode Adegbehingbe on February 19, 2019, Mrs. Akinfemiwa and five other defendants were restrained by the court’s judgement from, among others causing trouble in the association or parading themselves as leaders of the traders market women.
“That the interference of the defendants in the activities of Ondo State chapter of the Association is not in conformity with the norms of the Association. The court therefore dismissed the counterclaim of the defendants.”
Chief (Mrs.) Ruth Olowookere is relying on the February 19, 2019 judgement which upheld her as the authentic National President and Iyaloja-General of Ondo State chapter of National Traders And Market Leaders Council of Nigeria, which is also known as Association of Traders and Market Leaders of Nigeria.
