Report reaching SUNSHINETRUTH indicates that there were jubilations at the premises of Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad along Igbatoro road in Akure, the Ondo state capital as the result of the COVID-19 test conducted on its officers came out negative.
The affected officers, who could not hide their joy, heaved a sigh of relief for testing negative for the pandemic at last.
SUNSHINETRUTH had reported that the officers were mandated to take the test following their contact with a covid19 Positive murder suspect, Adamu Adamu who allegedly involved in the killing the daughter of Pa Fshoranti, Mrs Funke Olakunri.
The test result was disclosed to them as promised by the Officer in Charge of FSARS, CSP Oluwole Ezekiel.
However, the result of the test conducted for Policemen at Sabo police station, Ondo town is not ready yet.
NIGERIA RECORDS HIGHEST INFECTION
Nigeria yesterday recorded its highest daily infection from the Coronavirus Disease with three hundred and eighty one cases.
The highest daily figure was two hundred and forty five since the outbreak of the pandemic in the country over three months ago.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control announced the latest figure on its Twitter handle.
The story is the same with Lagos State as it also recorded its highest figure of one hundred and eighty three confirmed COVID-19 positive cases.
Kano followed with fifty five cases, Jigawa forty four, nineteen in Zamfara while Katsina recorded eleven.
Borno is having nine, Kaduna seven, Gombe six, Ogun five, Sokoto four while Oyo and Rivers have three cases each.
Others on the list are Niger State with two cases, one case each in Akwa Ibom, Enugu and Plateau states.
The latest figure brings to three thousand, five hundred and twenty six the total number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in Nigeria with one hundred and seven deaths.
In all of this, a total of six hundred and one cases have also been Successfully treated and discharged as at yesterday evening.
