In fulfilment of their earlier promise to support the Ondo state government in the fight against the spread of deadly coronavirus pandemic, Win-Win Textiles and other investors at the Ondo-Linyi Industrial Hub, Ore yesterday donated 3000 units of high quality and multi-colour polyester threads to the state Committee on massive production of face masks.
The donation was made through Klick Konnect Networks International, Akure, Managers of the Ondo-Linyi Industrial Hub, to the Committee members at a brief presentation held at St. James Mega School, Akure.
The 3000 units of high quality, multi-coloured polyester threads (in 30 packs) will help the Committee set up by Governor Rotimi Akeredolu to prosecute its assignment, even as the committee had engaged tailors from across all the 18 local Government areas of the State, for the production of the nose masks to combat the spread of Covid-19.
The items were presented by Dunsin Oluwasuji, Head of the Business Development Unit of Klick Konnect, and Mr. Joshua Ajayi, the Chief Financial Officer of Klick Konnect, representing the donors.
They confirmed that, “Win-Win Textiles, alongside the investors of the Ondo-Linyi Industrial Hub, through Klick Konnect Networks, Managers of the Ondo-Linyi Industrial Hub, on the 28th of April, at St. James Mega School, Akure, Ondo State, donated 3000 units of high quality, multi-coloured polyester threads (in 30 packs) to the Committee set up by Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu to engage Ondo State tailors across all the Local Government areas of Ondo State, for the production of nose masks to combat the spread of Covid-19.
Dunsin said, “the threads were presented as part of the corporate social responsibility initiatives of the investors and manager of the Ondo-Linyi Industrial Hub who had also earlier donated 10,000 litres of ethanol for the manufacture of hand sanitizers and for the sanitization of Ondo State, all in support of the very commendable efforts of the Ondo State Government to combat the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Donors’ representatives noted that the donation of threads was in the first instance, and that the donors will be reaching out with more support in due time. He also extended the special regards of Win-Win Textiles, the manufacturers who recently brought Ondo State to national limelight by manufacturing high quality, Standards Organization certified Made in Ondo fabrics.
Responding, Mr. Gani Mohammed-Ajowa, Chairman of the state Committee on massive production of face masks, flanked by other committee members, expressed the gratitude of the Ondo State Government, the committee members, the tailors being engaged, and the people of Ondo State to the donors.
Muhammed also commended the donors for several other layers of support being provided to the State Government.
