In a bid to compliment Ondo state government efforts in ensuring compliance to the stay at home order, as a result of the novel corona virus, Oba Bombay Foundation distributed grains and other food items in a bid to cushion the effect of the lockdown on indigents in Akure North Local of Ondo state.
The Chairman of the foundation, Moses Olourunsola, donated foodstuffs to all the wards in the local government. The foodstuffs distributed include, Rice, Beans, Garri and Noodles, as well as cash. The needy as well as the aged was the primary beneficiary of the palliatives.
The beneficiaries heaved a sigh of relief as they expressed profound gratitude to Moses for his humane and kind gesture at this critical time.
Former Commissioner for Transport in Ondo state, Otunba Omoniyi Omodara, commended Moses.
He described the Chairman of the foundation as a leader who have make an impressive mark on Akure North resident by showing that he cares for them.
“I can tell you with very sense of confidence that we in Akure north are generally impressed with him and his leadership, and for this, we pay great tribute to this highly esteemed brother.”
Also speaking, the Onilado of Ilado, Oba Ajomole , described the donation as an exemplary gesture that challenges the privileged ones.
He further stated that “Moses
is a man who doesn’t believe in half measure in whatever he does. Can you imagine the whole length he had gone.
The Director General of the Foundation, Olaiya Shola David, assured the people of the LG of other packages that will help ease the Ramadan fast for Muslims.
The DG also commended the chairman.
“He said, the welfare of the people has been the major task to which he has absolutely devoted himself since the establishment of the foundation.
“I can tell you with all sense of confidence that we in Akure North are generally impressed with him and his leadership, and for this, we pay great tribute to this highly esteemed Bother.
The DG also appreciate the committee, the entire members of the foundation and the traditional rulers in Akure North for their cooperation and supports for Oba Bombay Foundation, stating that the foundation will keep on impacting lives of everyone in local government.
