The Ondo state Police command yesterday paraded 15 suspects in connection with some killings, cultism, sea-pirating, kidnapping and armed robbery cases that occurred in the state in the last few weeks.
The suspects include those who robbed and killed a popular businessman, Mr Orogun Adebayo in Ifon, Ose council area.
Parading them at the Police State Headquarters in Akure, the Commissioner of Police, Mr Andie Undie said the suspects were arrested in Akoko, Ifon, Ilaje, Ondo town and Akure.
The Police Commissioner represented by the police public relations officer, Mr Ikoro Tee-Leo, said two vehicles, about 20 arms and ammunition, handsets as well as charm, while a man, Ahmed Odere who trades human heads was also paraded.
Odere said his in-law sent him to be giving the human parts.
The Commissioner said seven armed men attacked the vessel at Igbokoda area and hijacked the vessel to unknown destination.
In another case, Undie said a one month old baby, Oluwadarasimi Olusanya, who was stolen by one Deborah Onuh, aged 20, has been rescued.
The Ondo CP said Deborah stole the baby at Kajola Street, Oda Road, Akure on the pretext of playing with the baby and was arrested at Okpoh in Olamaboro local government area of Kogi State.
Other suspects paraded were Omotayo Nasiru aged 30 and Eniola Adeoye aged 34 who robbed their victim the sum of N21m.
Undie said their victim, one Jedo Blessing, reported that he was going to deposit the money in a bank alongside his manager when the robbers struck between Ipira and Igbokoda.
He said six persons were arrested at Akure during initiation ceremony of Eiye confraternity.
Undie said some of the suspects would be charged to court by next week after the conclusion of investigation.
