It was a gathering of prominent people in the society when the 9th Ondo State Media Award was held on Sunday in Akure, the state capital, with TVC News Correspondent, Ayodeji Moradeyo winning the Best Television Reporter of the year in the Electronic Media category.
At the event, which was attended by prominent people from the state, a permanent Secretary, Bunmi Eniayeawu and the State Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Emmanuel Igbasan were some of the award recipients.
The event powered by Impact media group was attended by media experts, politicians, technocrats and top government functionaries.
Chairman of Impact media group, Asiwaju Yinka Richards said the recipients were carefully selected because of their contributions to the the society.

He said, ‘ The people we are honouring here today have excelled in their various callings. We carefully selected our awardees after studying their performance
‘For Ayodeji Moradeyo, we gave him the award because he is a professional to the core. He is a journalist who have excelled in both print and broadcast media
“Ayodeji is a consistent reporter who is hardworking, committed and dedicated to duty. His ability to churn out human angle reports is highly commendable’.
In his remarks, Moradeyo said the award would encourage him to do more in the profession, ” I am elated for this award, it will not only spur me to do more but it will encourage me to be more dedicated to duty”
