In the spirit of sallah celebration, Hon. Ade Adeogun, the member representing Akoko southeast /southwest federal constituency in the house of representatives has tasked Muslim faithful in the spirit of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration to pray for the country over the security challenges confronting her.
Adeogun in a statement issued in felicitation with the Muslim faithfuls in his constituency and Ondo state also charged the Muslim community to seek the face of God over other myriad of challenges faced by the country.
He said: “I urge our Muslim compatriots in my constituency, Ondo State and the Nation at large to remember our great country in prayers over the security challenges confronting us, as we all celebrate Eid-el-Kabir.”
The lawmaker also called on Muslims to emulate prophet Ibrahim and learn to make sacrifices for the development of their immediate community and the Nation at large.
“It is equally important to exemplify the essence of the Eid-il-Kabir festival, which commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s (Abraham) obedience to God’s command, to sacrifice his son for him, after which the almighty Allah replaced the son with a ram. Our Muslims brothers and sisters must therefore understand that the path to progress for our dear country lies in the personal sacrifices from both the leaders and followers in leaving our communities better than we met it.”
“It is my prayer that the good lord will continue to guide and protect us as we mark many more of this festivity on Earth.”
